WAR SAVINGS
GOOD RESPONSE IN CANADA. OTTAWA. Subscriptions for Canada’s war saving certificates have been pouring in at almost double the rate that had been expected when the campaign started. At present the certificates ‘are being taken up at the rate of 250.000 dollars daily. Even more encouraging is the fact that there are 1,300.000 Canadians subscribing for certificates through their employers. The first payment came on July 10. These additional returns average under 50 dollars per person a year, and will boost the over-all returns considerably over the 100,000,000 dollar mark.
