Ottawa. —Gross value of commodities produced on Canadian farms in 1939 is estimated at 1,170,943,000 dollars, an increase of 10.2 per cent on the revised estimate for the previous year. This is accounted for largely by increases of 15.3 per cent for field crops and 24.8 per cent for farm animals. Small increases are also shown in the value of poultry, flax and wool.
