Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 30.31. Shade temperature: Maximum 57.3, minimum 45.8, terrestrial 43.2. Sunshine, 1 hour 38 min. Rain, 30 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 9 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday, and 25 points for a similar period ended 9 a.m. today. Weather forecast: Light to fresh winds from an easterly quarter: weather cloudy and cool, with further rain or drizzle chiefly in. the east and south. LONGBUSH RAINFALL. The rainfall for August at Longbush measured 435 points, which fell on 16 days. The maximum was 112 points on August 23. The average for August over 24 years is 422 points. Up till the end of August this year 2709 points have been registered at Longbush. PHASES OF THE MOON. SEPTEMBER.
