Although an aged mare, she had q not previously appeared at a tot'alisator meeting, but had attracted attention by her efforts at some flag steeple- ® chase fixtures and on the hunting field. •' She is a long-striding galloper, and '. notwithstanding her lack of experience [ in racing over obstacles she measured J each fence on Saturday like a veteran , at the game, and made some spectacu- u lar efforts. It. was unfortunate for her owner, Mr M. Hanley, owner also of Ballybrit, that he did not have „ Lochcorrib at the Grand National J" meeting, as taking a line through La C| Boca’s form at Riccarton, she would have been certain to have earned some distinction. Her exploits later in the ti season will now be followed with g much interest. j
