CHRISTMAS CHEER

FOR THE FIGHTING FORCES. WOMEN’S DIVISION SHOP DAY. A successful shop day was held yesterday by the Masterton branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union. The object was to raise funds with which to provide Christmas cheer for the members of the fighting forces. The day’s takings amounted to A competition was won by Mr Ken Stewart.

The shop day was the first of a series. Others are to be held on. the first Wednesday of every month. Two hampers of cakes and foodstuffs have been forwarded to the Women s Division, Wellington, for the A.N.A. Club.
