Mrs T. R. Barren, Renall Street, is visiting Christchurch. Miss Jose Hosking, Church Street, is staying with her sister, Mrs W. K. Logan, Hokianga. Miss N. Malmo, Homebush, has been visiting Mrs Hugh Biss, Hataitai, Wellington. Mr and Mrs F. Clark, Palmerston North, are staying at the Hotel Midland, Masterton. Mr and Mrs D. Gunn and Miss Shirley Gunn (Wellington) were guests yesterday at the Hotel Midland, Masterton.
Mrs P. Fraser, wife of the Prime Minister, left Wellington by the Limited express last night for Rotorua, where she will attend a conference of the Maori Women’s League of Health, which is to open tomorrow. After 25 years of devoted service to Collins Street Baptist Church. Melbourne, Madame Ella Kingston has resigned as choir director. She was ap-. pointed soprano soloist 25 years ago, when the choir was directed by her husband, Mr Claude Kingston (of J. C. Williamson, Ltd’s managerial staff). Later she became director, and has produced many noted musical features.
