DEATH OF LINESMAN

FATALITY AT LOWER HUTT.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day.

An assistant linesman employed by the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board. Mr William Paterson, married, aged 28, who lived at 16 Miro Street, Eastbourne, was presumably electrocuted at 2.30 p.m. yesterday while working up a pole in Railway Avenue, Lower Hutt. He was seen by two workmates hanging by his safety-strap and they brought him to the ground.

Dr W. J. Hutchison, Petone, was summoned and attempts at resuscitation were continued for about threequarters of an hour, but without success.
