NET PROFIT OF £631 RECORDED. RECEIPTS AND EXPENDITURE. A statement of receipts and expenditure of the Paddy's Market held in Masterton on August 2 in aid of the normal activities of the Masterton and Country Districts centres of the Red Cross Society records a net profit of £631 13s 7d.
Receipts were: Sundry activities £76 Is 9d, produce stall £74 0s 3d, primary school stall £65 14s lid. fancy stall £lO6 8s sd, jumble stall £3B 14s 7d. meat stall £35 13s 3d. cake stall £44 14s 7d. sweets stall £26 6s 4d. flowers, plants and seeds. £5l 16s 7d, afternoon teas and supper £l6 15s 7d. left luggage 5s 3d, surprise packets £73. amusements £63 Os Id, cash donations unallotted to stalls £6 9s lid, office sales £l2 18s, remission of rent £3 18s 6d; total £695 18s.
Outgoings: Primary schools stall £2 10s, meat stall 8s 2d. cake stall Is. sweets £2 14s, afternoon tea and supper 12s, surprise packets £9 2s 6d. amusements £2l 19s 7d, office sales £2, office stationery and stamps 14s Bd. office lighting and heating and office keys 18s 4d. freight on window pig (return to Wellington), ss. hall expenses, night porters (two nights) £1 ss, rent £6. stalls and amusements lighting £3 7s, nails, etc, for stalls 10s 3d, advertising signs £1 8s 6d. petrol 13s sd, advertising £9 17s; total, £64 4s sd.
