DELHI CONFERENCE

MEETING NEXT MONTH FULL REPRESENTATION ASSURED. WAR EFFORT & ECONOMIC QUESTIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) SIMLA, September 2. All those invited to the Imperial War Effort Conference at New Delhi have accepted the invitations and the conference is expected to open on October 25. The Indian Commerce Department is arranging for the discussion of any non-military trade and economic questions the delegations may want to raise, particularly commercial reorientation, in view of the loss of European markets.

The delegates are expected to tour India extensively, examining factories, after which the conference will coordinate each country’s requirements and make recommendations to India.
