MCKENZIE TRUST
INCOME DISTRIBUTION. MEETING OF THE BOARD OF MANAGEMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. A distribution of £6OO income which has been received from the trust investments. was made at a meeting of the board of management of the J. R. McKenzie Trust in Wellington. There were present the nominee of the Governor-General, Mr J. S. Barton, C.M.G.. the nominee of the Chief Justice. Mr C. H. Weston. K.C.; Collonel F. T. Bowerbank, representing the British Medical Association: Mr D. A. Ewen. District Governor- of Rotary, and Messrs E. P. Hay. C. V. Smith and Dr J. Thomson, representing the various Rotary organisations. Mr Barton was appointed chairman of the board for the ensuing year. Various applications for assistance were considered and the board made the following allocations:— £ War Relief Associations—to be expended equally in each of the four centres 200 New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association —for the assistance generally of returned soldiers, sailors, airmen and members of the mercantile marine, in accordance with the provisions of the Deed of Trust 200 Plunket Society—for the general purposes of the society 200 Total £6OO The amount distributed represents income which had accrued due from the date of the trust. February 12 last, to March 31. It is not expected that further income from the investments will be made available till after March 31. 1941.
