ALL BRITISH BOMBERS RETURN FROM WIDELY EXTENDED ATTACKS. ONE CRASHES ON LANDING. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 11 a.m.) RUGBY, September 2. An Air Ministry communique states: “Yesterday R.A.F. bombers attacked enemy aerodromes at Ypenburge and Schipol. Last night our bombers carried out extensive operations over Germany, Italy, Holland and France. “In Germany aircraft factories at Munich and Stuttgart, oil plants ati Hanover, Ludwigshaven. and Nordenham, munition factories at Leipzig and Bitterfeld, shipping at Emden, the power station at Kassel, goods yards at Soest and Mannheim and many enemy aerodromes were among the targets attacked. “In Italy a new aircraft factory at Turin and the Marelli Magneto Works at Sesto San Giovanni were successfully bombed. "Aircraft of the Coastal Command last night attacked an enemy submarine and E-boat base at I'Orient, on the west coast of France. “From these operations all our aircraft returned safely, except one which crashed on landing.” AIR MINISTRY REPORT GERMANS LOSE TWENTY-SIX PLANES. — SOME FATALITIES TN KENT TOWN. (Received This Day, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, September 2. An Air Ministry and Ministry ot Home Security communique states: “Early this morning enemy aircraft were engaged by R.A.F. fighters anti anti-aircraft guns near the Thames Es-

tuary. Bombs were dropped at several places in Kent in the course of these engagements. About midday, further attacks were made in the same area. In one town a garage was hit and set on fire. In another several houses were seriously damaged. Reports indicate that casualties are slight, but include several fatal injuries in one town. Twenty-six enemy aircraft are reported to have been destroyed today. Nine of ours are down but five of the pilots are safe.”

ENEMY TRIBUTE R.A.F. ADMIRED TN BERLIN. (Received This Day, 9.0 a.m.) STOCKHOLM. September 2. The “Nyhetere’s” Berlin correspondent says Berliners are unable to avoid admiring the R.A.F’s. performance, in carrying out aids at such a distance from their bases.
