MASTERTON GUN CLUB

CHAMPIONSHIP ON SATURDAY. Shooting on the Gun Club grounds at Te Ore Ore on Saturday took the form of a series of trophy shoots as a preliminary to the clay bird championship to bo held on Saturday. September 7. The championship will conclude the Club's activities for the year. There is a large entry and the winner will for one year hold the handsome silver cup presented by the late Mr A. P. Whatman. The restricted programme of matches has had little effect on the standard of shooting. This has been particularly noticeable amongst the new members, T. A. Brown. J. W. Curtain being most prominent.
