ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

DANCE ON SATURDAY NIGHT. AN OUTSTANDING SUCCESS. The dance held in the Masonic Hall cn Saturday night by the senior and cadet divisions of the St John Ambulance was an outstanding success. There was a large attendance and the capacity of the floor was taxed to the full. The music was provided by Mr Jack Barnes and his Rhythm Boys and the M.C. was Mr C. S. McQuade (Cadet Superintendent). Mr Trevor Hicks played.an extra, and Mr L. Fulton entertained with a vocal item.

The Monte Carlo waltz competition was won by Miss J. Edwards and Mr J. Perry, and the Lucky Spot quick step by Miss D. Turnbull and Mr J. Brown.

Supper was served by a capable committee. Dancing was continued until midnight, when the singing of Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem brought a pleasant function to a close.
