ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS
MASTERTON LODGE.
QUARTERLY MEETING.
At the quarterly meeting of the Loyal Masterton Lodge of Odd Fellows, N.G. Bro. C. E. Mooney presided. Leave of absence was granted to E.S. Sister V. E. Stains and Bro. D. Minifie.
Regret was expressed at the death of Bro. C. M. M. Falk. It was resolved to forward a letter of sympathy to the widow and relatives. Members stood in silence for a few moments as a mark of respect to his memory. Accounts totalling £79 0s 8d were passed for payment. P.G. Bro. W. A. Palmer reported on a recent visit to Eketahuna in connection with a card tournament arranged between members of the Eketahuna and Masterton lodges which resulted in a win for Masterton.
P.G. Bro. R. C. Baikie reported on having accompanied officers of the Wellington District on official visits to various lodges. Members discussed arrangements in connection with the dance to be held on Saturday, September 7, in aid of the Patriotic Fund, and sub-commit-tees were set. up. The Sisters of the lodge provided supper.
