Fifty North-West Frontier tribesmen were killed and a considerable numbewere wounded as a result of operations conducted by the British, whicl ended in a heavy defeat for the tribesmen. The British lost three killed anc twenty wounded. The tribesmen have been very active recently and British forces retaliated by attacking a village.
