ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

DANCE ON SATURDAY NIGHT. The Cadet Division of the St John Ambulance will hold another of its series of popular dances in the Masonic Hall on Saturday night, when it is anticipated that there will be the usual good attendance of patrons. The music will be supplied by Jack Barnes’s Rhythm Boys and the Cadet Superintendent. Mr C. S. McQuade, will again carry out thd duties of M.C. The proceeds of the dance will go towards the uniform replacement fund. Popular prices are being charged. It has been decided to make the dance a combined effort by the Senior and the Cadet Divisions to raise funds for the Hall Improvement and Furnishing Fund, as the Division has acquired a hall behind the Social Security Department in Dixon Street. As members of the Division are now undergoing regular training it is necessary that the hall should be maintained in good order. It is also intended to carry a stock of first aid requisites for use in an emergency. As the work is all voluntary the generous patronage of the public at the dance will enable the work to be carried out without unnecessary delay.
