GOLF CLUB RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS. ("Times-Age” Special.) The following are the results of the competitions played by members of the Eketahuna Golf Club during the week:— Stableford: R. Hornblow. 39: D. Fraser, 38; O. Walton. 38; M. Fraser. 37. Medal competition: V. Anderson, 82, 17, 65. All matches in the first round of the championships must be played during the weekend. Personal Items. The death occurred at the Palmerston North Hospital on Monday of Mr Robert Hodgson, at the age of 71 years. The late Mr Hodgson was for many years employed as a ganger on the railways and was stationed at New-’ man. Mrs Alice Bourke, relict of Mr David L. Bourke, of Hamua, who died in Wellington on Wednesday, leaves a daughter, Miss Eileen Bourke, and a son, Mr David Bourke, of Hamua. Mrs A. Hillson, Napier, is visiting her daughter. Mrs D. Reid. Mr B. Wright. Rongokokako, has disposed of his farm to Mr E. Wiggery. Mr Wright intends to engage in farming in the Tokomaru district. Breach of Motor Act. At the Pahiatua S.M. Court on Wednesday, Messrs D. P. Ryan and Sons, Ltd., Eketahuna, were charged fvith having operated a motor vehicle without being in possession of a heavy traffic license. Defendants pleaded guilty and a fine of £1 with 10s costs, was imposed.
