AMERICAN PACIFIC COAST UNITED STATES AND CANADA. COMMISSION TO MEET SHORTLY (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) VANCOUVER. August 29. The Assistant United States Attor-ney-General. Mr Norman Littell, announced that an international commission for the co-ordination of the defences of the west coast of Canada and United States will meet shortly. “It is obvious that United States aeroplanes, patrolling the coastline from Seattle to Alaska, will make good use of your air bases,” he said. He added that the United States was acquiring military sites on the Pacific coast “almost as quickly as Hitler himself would do it.”
