ACCORDING TO COLONEL RALSTON , CANADIANS TO BE IN THICK OF IT. FORMATION OF ARMY CORPS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright, (Received This Day, 12.50 p.m.) OTTAWA, August 28. The Minister of Defence (Colonel Ralston) stated that an all-Canadian Army Corps was being formed in England under General McNaughton immediately the training of the Second Division had been completed. A third division was being concentrated in the maritime provinces early in October.

Colonel Ralston added: “There’s an offensive phase coming, just when I don’t know, but our Canadian First Division is thoroughly trained and will be in the thick of it. The war has developed to a point where the Canadians' chance, is coming.”
