CIRCULATED BY ITALIANS. OCCUPATION OF ATLANTIC ISLANDS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 27. A report by the Stefan! Agency in Rome that the British propose to occupy the Azores and Canary Islands to safeguard shipping routes, though ludicrous, is not thought here to be surprising, as Italian circles recently made similar assertions regarding what they described as a British contemplated occupation of Corfu and Crete.
