4. POSITION OF MAN SEPARATED FROM WIFE. (By Telegraph—Press Association J WELLINGTON. This Day. j "The answer is no." was the brief reply given by the Minister of Labour. Mr Webb, on behalf of the Minister of National Service. Mr Semple, to an urgent question in the House of Representatives yesterday, whether a married man separated from his wife under mutual agreement or deed was deemed to be unmarried for the purposes of the General Reserve Classification Order. 1940.
"Such a man." the questioner said, "is not judicially separated and there is always a prospect, in many cases a desirable one. that the parties will come together again."
