* COMPANY REPORTS. Argo gold dredge reports a return of 260 z from 11.000 cubic yards worked in 124 hours. Alexander Mines. Ltd., has issued the following report for the week ended August 22: —No. G intermediate stope, drive north: Driven sft. the face showing now 7 being 21ft north of intermediate face. Reef showing in the face 78in wide with a little stone going underfoot. This face has been stopped i for a few days to drive the intermediate north to facilitate the handling of the ore broken. No. G intermediate level: Driven sft the face being in country rock with a band of stone lOin w'ide showing on the eastern side. Stoping: Stoping is being carried on as usual, the lode varying in width from 3 to 4ft. Ninety tons sent to battery for week.
