PUBLIC PRAYER

TODAY'S MEETING AT MASTERTON. A LARGE ATTENDANCE. There was the usual large attendance today at the citizens' service of prayer held in the Masterton Opera House under the auspices of the Masterton Ministers’ Association. The Rev. John Davie presided.

The lessons were read by the Rev. T. V. Pearson and Major Mahaffie. Inspiring addresses were given by the Revs. V. W. Joblin and D. McNeur, the former taking as his text "Thoughts in Prayer." and the latter "Thoughts of Memory.”

The meeting closed with prayer, which was led by the Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich and the Rev. H. S. Kings.
