SAVED BY LIFEBOATS. ON COASTS OF ENGLAND AND IRELAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 10.15 a.m.) LONDON. August 27.

Thus far this year lifeboats have rescued 1.439 persons from shipwrecks on the coasts of England and Ireland. This is 32 above the total for the whole of last year, in which a record number of rescues was effected.
