CRIPPLED CHILDREN
WAIRARAPA BRANCH OF SOCIETY.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE.
At a meeting of the executive of the Wairarapa branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society it was reported by the Welfare Officer that a push chair or tricycle was required to convey a chippled girl to and from town for treatment. Any person having a push chair or tricycle which is not being used and is willing to donate either one to the society, is asked to communicate with Messrs Dunderdale and Gray, Perry Street, Masterton. As a result of operative treatment to a foot, a boy has completely recovered and his name has been transferred from the main register to the list of those cured. Estimates arc to be obtained of the costs involved in several cases for special treatment. When the information comes to hand further consideration will be given by the executive to the extent of assistance that can be given by the society.
Mrs E. G. Norman and the Masterton Women’s Branch of the N.Z. Labour Party have been elected to the annual membership.
