PROTEST BY EIRE
AGAINST NAZI BOMBING FULL REPARATION CLAIMED. SEVERAL TOWNS ATTACKED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) DUBLIN, August 26. Eire has protested to Berlin, claiming full reparation for bomb damage. Campile, where a creamery was wrecked, is a railway station village eight miles across the harbour from Waterford. Three girls were killed by crashing masonry. The other towns bombed are now given as Bannow, Ballymitty and Duncormick.
BRITISH AIRMEN RESCUED BY GERMANS. ACCORDING TO BERLIN REPORT. (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) BERLIN, August 26. Informed circles declare that German rescue planes saved the crews of two British bombers off the Dutch coast last night. The rescued men said they were forced down by lack of fuel when returning from Stettin.
