WEDDING
SUMMERVILLE—DAVIDSON. ■ A pretty wedding of interest to residents of the Wairarapa and Auckland districts took place in the Presbyterian Knox Church, Masterton on Saturday afternoon when Ena Georgina Davidson, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Davidson, Villa Street, Masterton was married to Adam Summerville, Auckland, son of the late Mr and Mrs Summerville, Scotland. The ceremony was performed by the Rev David McNeur. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was attired in a clover ensemble with accessories to tone, and carried a beautiful bouquet of sweet peas and cyclamen, with trailing maid-en-hair fern. She was attended by her sister, Miss Alma Davidson, who wore a bottle green frock with toning accessories, and carried a shower bouquet.’ The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Neil Summerville, of Wellington, brother of the bridegroom. As the .bridal party left the church the bride was presented with a silver horse-shoe by Kelvin Henson. The reception was held at the Masonic Hall, where Mrs Davidson, the bride’s mother, and Mrs Coomb, of Christchurch, aunt of the bridegroom, received the many guests. Mrs Davidson wore an ensemble of black georgette with shoulder spray and carried a bouquet of maidenhair fern and June roses. Mrs Coomb was attired in a black gown trimmed with white, and also carried a bouquet. The usual toasts were honoured.
When the bride and bridegroom left for the south, amidst showers of confetti. the bride wore an Air Force blue costume with accessories to match. Mr and Mrs A. Summerville’s future home will be at Auckland.
