FIRE THREATENS TOULON
TROOPS FIGHTING FOREST BLAZE.

French troops were called out to fight a fire which has already swept through 11.000 acres of Riviera forest land and threatens to spread to Toulon. Embers are falling on the naval base from the fire, which is only six miles away.
