MASTERTON GUN CLUB
CLAY TARGET AGGREGATE. WON BY J. W. McKENZIE. The final competition for the clay target aggregate was fired by the Masterton Gun Club on Saturday, there being a good attendance of members. The restricted programme of only three shoots for the aggregate made the shooting close and interesting with many good scores. ,1. W. McKenzie was the winner with a grand total of 41 breaks out of 42. R. Cameron. J. W. Curtain and H. K. Smith tied for runner up. R. Cameron eventually securing this place. Trophy shooting will take place on Saturday next and the Club Championship on September 7. The following were the scores in Saturday's competition:—,l. W. McKenzie (,?lyds) 20; J. W. Curtain (12 yds) 20: R. Cameron (13yds) 19: Jim McKenzie (16yds) 19; H. K. Smith (19 yds) 19; J. Udy (13yds) 19; T. Brown (12yds) 19; F. Taplin (17yds) 19: D. McKenzie (18yds) 19: J. Laurcnson (13 yds) 17; C. E. Grey (19yds) 16.
Extra match: J. Laurenson. J. Udy and. Jim McKenzie all shot the possible of twelve birds.
