BRITISH GUNS SHELL FRENCH COAST
Enemy Emplacements Bombed by R.A.F. SUSTAINED ATTACKS DURING NIGHT SOME CASUALTIES REPORTED IN KENT British long-range guns have been shelling the French coast in reply to the German bombing of Dover, Daventry reports. Only a few rounds were fired. An Air Ministry communique states that the German gun emplacements on the French coast were bombed by the R.A.F. for several hours during the night. About a dozen German shells landed in Kent. Some buildings were damaged and there were a number of casualties.
