GROWING APACE
THE CANADIAN NAVY SIX TIMES GREATER THAN IT WAS LAST YEAR. MANY SMALL CRAFT BEING BUILT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 9.30 a.m.) OTTAWA. August 20. The Naval Ministry has announced that it has placed orders for a fleet of motor torpedo-boats, similar to the German E-boats. capable of fifty knots per hour, which could be used on both coasts. It is also revealed that the Navy is six times greater than it was last year. At present it numbers 113 vessels, with 95 additional keels laid.
