ESPERANTO

MASTERTON CLUB. WEEKLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. At the weekly meeting of the Masterton Esperanto Club. Mr A. G. Wiltshire presided over a good attendance of members.

During the tuition period the elemerita>’y class, under the direction of Mr N. Lamont, reviewed the Esperanto affixes. These are used for wordbuilding. thus rendering unnecessary the learning of an extensive vocabulary. The advanced group continued its translation of Edgar Rrice Burrough’s work. “The Princess from Mars,” which has been published in Esperanto. .

The civiertainment session of tho meeting was opened by Mrs Lamont, who contributed an original article entitled “La Dia Komedio (The Divine Comedy). This was followed by a reading. “La Kultura Rondo Esperantista de Wellington" (The Esperantists Cultural Circle of Wellington) given by Mr W. J. Beresford.
