Miss D. Tully is a Greytown visitor to Hamilton.

Miss N. E. Batchelor, Nelson, was at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton, recently. Mrs Dempsey, of Palmerston North, has been spending a few days with Mrs J. Smith, Masterton. Miss O. Wain, is a visitor from Nelson at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Masterton.

Mrs O. C. Mowry (Auckland) is spending a few days with Mrs E. T. Wilton, Rangitumau.

Mr and Mrs lan Talbot, Motueka, are staying at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton.

Miss Jean Morton Smith, Cockle Bay. Auckland, is spending a few days with Mrs J. Linton, Te Ore Ore.

Mr and Mrs Ross, Wellington, were at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton, yesterday.

Mrs D. H. S. Riddiford, Featherston, returned south on Sunday night after a weekend visit to Auckland. Miss McMenamin, Wellington, was a recent guest at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton.

In Wellington the death has occurred of Miss Edith Christie, who was noted for her untiring work in Christian causes. During the Great War she served on Lady Luke's committee and /also took a leading part in women’s infstitutes and clubs in war work. For mere than 30 years she was a member of St Mark’s Church, and was a great worker in ihe Sunday school. The death has occurred of a wellknown pioneer resident of Wellington, Mrs Donald Douglas Cameron, Kaiwarra. Mrs Cameron, who was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Lewis Storey. Kaiwarra, was born at Halifax, England, and came to this country with her parents more than 80 years ago. The family settled in Kaiwarra and remained there for many years. In 1879 she married the late Mr Donald Cameron, the eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs Alexander Cameron, who were among the earliest of Kaiwarra’s pioneer settlers.
