PAINTERS AND DECORATORS
LOCAL BRANCH. ANNUAL MEETING LAST NIGHT. The annual meeting of the Masterton and Wairarapa branch of the Amalgamated Society of Painters and Decorators’ Union was held last night in the Y.M.C.A. Hall, Masterton, when the chair was taken by the president, Mr Fred Cole, who was supported by the members of the executive. The president, in presenting his report, congratulated the Union on its satisfactory position, which he said was due, no doubt, to the officers, whom he wished to thank. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Mr Fred Cole; vice-chairman, Mr Chas. Loader; executive. Messrs Frank Lambert, Alex Newman. Ben Rickards and E. Spicer; secretary, Mr R. C. Jordan.
