KING INSPECTS TROOPS

VISIT TO GUARDS BRIGADE. TRAINING METHODS WATCHED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 1.25 p.m.) RUGBY, August 19. The King visited a Guards brigade on Monday and watched training varying from machine-gun practice to a mimic battle, in which "Molotov Cocktails” were used. At one point his Majesty took the salute at a march past of Irish Guards. Afterwards he watched a battalion demonstrate the rapidity with which troops could get on the move in motor transport.
