STOPPED AT SEA
AMERICAN STEAMER’S MESSAGE ARRESTED BY MEXICAN GUNBOAT. ARMED PARTY SENT ON BOARD. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, August 19. The American freighter Herman Frasch radioed all United States naval and commercial stations the following message: “Stopped and boarded a't 3.20 p.m. by Mexican gunboat, seventy miles north-west of Agapulco. Not allowed to proceed. Now being boarded by armed forces.” The message did not indicate reasons.
