“TROPIC FURY.” The final screening of “Tropic Fury” takes place at the Cosy Theatre this evening. The companion feature. "Money to Burn” is full of wholesale fun. “THIS MAN IN PARIS.” For the first time since the advent of talkies, a British fiction film is to have a sequel. The film claiming this honour is Paramount’s “This Man is News,” the story of English newspaper life which became one of the hit-pic-tures of last year. Its cost was not high, and it has since earned five times the initial outlay. And the sequel to it, costing a little more, is “This Man in Paris,” showing at the Cosy Theatre tomorrow night. It was produced at Denham studios with the same stars, i director, producer and authors in charge. Vague stories about the sensational exploits of every big city’s “Emergency Squad” have been current ever since i the service was formed some years ■ ago. but the movie-going public will. have its first chance to learn the au- I thentic inside story about this amazing -
battalion in the new Paramount thrill drama. “Emergency Squad.” the associate picture. The first picture to deal I with these heroes without medals who are called into action when things get too hot for anyone else to handle, ; "Emergency Squad” turns the spot- j light on a service that is familiarly | known as the “suicide battalion” and I recounts its adventures as seen through the eyes of a girl reporter on a big | city daily. Heading the cast are Louise Campbell, who plays the wised-up lady of the press, and William Henry. Richard Denning and Robert Paige, as three adventure-loving heroes of the “Emergency Squad.”
