WEDDING

FAWCETT—RYAN. Knox Church was the scene of n pretty wedding on Saturday afternoon when Beryl Hannah 1 Betty) only daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Ryan. Masterton, was married to Alder William Fawcett, son of Mrs Davis-Goff, .Masterton, and the late Mr G. A. Fawcett. The service was performed by the Rev. David McNeur.

Pink Primus blossom, pussy willow and silver bells were effectively used to decorate the church.

The bride was attractively gowned in a spring ensemble of honey gold, with quilting and net rucking to tone. A chic little felt hat was worn and a fragrant posy of golden and cream shaded spring flowers was carried. The bridesmaid was Miss Jessie Fawcett, who wore a pretty ensemble of turquoise blue embroidered in silver, and a turquoise felt hat. Her beautiful posy was of rich lachanalias and freezias.

Mr lan Shaw capably carried out the duties of best man. The church ushers were Mr R. Ryan and Mr C. Fawcett. . .

Mr and Mrs Ryan received their guests at the Empire Hotel, the latter wearing a navy costume and hat and a shoulder spray in dusky pink tones. They were assisted by Mr and Mrs Davis-GofT, the latter being attired in a petrel ensemble with brown itir and shoulder spray in cyclamen shadings. The beautifully decorated wedding cake was lhe work of Mrs J. Shaw. A profusion of spring flowers decorated the tables. Amid showers of confetti Mr and Mrs Fawcett later left by car. the bride wearing a Roseda costume and hat with a Coney fur cape, the gift of the bridegroom.
