CANTERBURY MARKETS. DULL AND INACTIVE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 9. Few price changes have occurred this week in the grain and produce markets whicn generally remain dull and inactive. The Minister of Marketing, the Hon W. Nash, has not yet replied to representations from growers and merchants for a minimum price for potatoes, and a statement is anxiously awaited. The price to growers remains at the low level of £2 a ton.

Onions have shown some improvement on a better demand. Quotations to growers , have moved up to £B. Chaff appears slighthly weaker on a nominal quotations of £5 10s.
