LADIES’ GUILD. MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Methodist Ladies’ Guild was held at the residence of Mrs N. I-I. Prior. Perry Street. Owing to the absence, through illness, of the president. Mrs 1 Hancox the meeting was presided over by Mrs Kings. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Hancox, Nielsen, Nicol and Elliott. The happy thought for the month was given by Mrs Prior. The speaker for the afternoon was Sister Rita Snowden, who chose "Women of England" as the subject of her address. During a recent tour of England. the speaker said she had the good fortune to meet and become acquainted with women in every sphere of life. Vocal solos were rendered by Mrs Speight. Afternoon tea was served by the hostess Mrs Prior. Votes of thanks were accorded to Sister Rita Snowden,. Mrs Speight, and the hostess.
