LONDON. August 9.
Five hundred firemen operating a hundred appliances and seven fireboats were engaged for several hours extinguishing one of the biggest fires m London since the outbreak of war.
The fire destroyed a large sevenfloor warehouse at St. Catherine’s dock, near the Tower Bridge.
