“KEEP AT IT!”
BRITISH MINISTER’S APPEAL TO WORKERS FINE EFFORT THAT MUST BE CONTINUED. WAR AN ENDURANCE TEST. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 8. After nearly three months’ splendid response to his appeal for “work at war speed.” the Minister of Supply, .Mr Morrison, has sent another message to the men and women who are working for the Ministry urging them to “Keep at it I”
‘‘Since the enemy invaded Holland and Belgium,” the Minister says, "you have done a magnificent job. You have shown yourselves fully worthy of our armed forces and of the cause for which we fight. Your resolution and staying power have daunted our enemies and encouraged our friends. You have helped to show the whole world what the spirit of the nation really is.
“The time has not come to relax the intensity of your personal efforts while you are on the job. We are not yet as strong as we need to be and mean to be. The enemy is losing no time, and the need is still great. You will not fall short of the splendid standard you have set yourselves. The war is an endurance test, and we who know that right is on our side will last out the longest.”
