The Prime Minister (Mr Mackenzie King) told the House of Commons he had received proposals to establish diplomatic relations in a definite form from one. and tentatively from several American republics. ARGENTINE OVERTURE ACTION TO FACILITATE TRADE. (Received This Day. noon.) BUENOS AIRES. August 6. Senor J. M. Cantilo (Foreign Minister) stated that Argentina had suggested to Canada that they should establish mutual diplomatic relations. He said the move was intended to facilitate commercial exchanges in view of the war situation.
