MAYOR OF MONTREAL
INTERNED INDEFINITELY AFTER QUESTIONING BY POLICE. UNDER DEFENCE REGULATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) MONTREAL, August 6. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, after questioning the Mayor of Montreal. Mr Camillien Houde. for 40 minutes, announced he was being interned. The police said he would be interned indefinitely under section 21 of the Defence of Canada Regulations. They refused to say where he would be taken. , , The action followed Mr Hotides refusal to comply with the registration provision of the Mobilisation Bill.
