CHURCH REROOFED

IRON REPLACES SHINGLES. The shingles on the roof of the Masterton Methodist Church, following on the damage suffered in the recent fire, are being removed and replaced with corrugated iron. As considerable difficulty would have been experienced in making a watertight connection between old and new shingles it was considered advisable to remove the shingles, which are one of the few examples of their kind remaining in Masterton. Needless to say, the new covering is a costly item at the present time. •, ,
