COLLEGE CONCERT

PERFORMANCE IN OPERA HOUSE. MANY ATTRACTIVE FEATURES. For some time the pupils of Wairarapa College have been preparing for their annual musical and dramatic entertainment which is to be held in the Opera House tomorrow and Thursday evening. The concert will open with a test selection by the College Pipe Band, which holds the Dominion B Grade Championship. In the first part of the programme there will be two short one act comedies —“Any More For the Skylark” staged by the Junior School and “Suppressed Desires” by the Senior School. There will also be group dances and drill at which the college girls have attained a high standard. The second part will take the form of a musical comedy entitled “East of Suez.” This gives considerable scope for school-boy ' humour, colourful frocking for the girls, ballets, choruses and songs with all the atmosphere of the East. In this the staff is staging a bright breezy number with its central theme patriotic. Those who desire a good evening's enjoyment in these trying days, should not miss the entertainment provided by the College boys and girls. Patrons are reminded that booking is at the Arts and Crafts and that the programme commences at 7.45 o’clock each evening.
