CUTTING OF DIKES
ON JAPANESE=OWNED PLANTATIONS ORDERED IN COSTA RICA. DRAINAGE OR SPOILING LANDING GROUNDS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 1.15 p.m.) SAN JOSE (Costa Rica), August 4. The Government has ordered dikes to be cut on extensive Japanese-own-ed cotton plantations in the Pacific zones, .officially for drainage, but it could be a precautionary measure to render the areas useless for aviation.
