GALLANT NEW ZEALAND AIRMAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON,/August 3. The citation referring to the award of the D.F.C. to Flying-Officer Neville Williams states that three enemy planes attacked a plane captained by Flying-Officer Williams while returning from the Ruhr last month. One and possibly two of the enemy were shot down and the third driven off. FlyingOfficer Williams brought back his plane to the base thought it was riddled with bullets. He participated in 21 attacks against Germany and the occupied countries since the outbreak of war and displayed coolness, courage and real leadership. His mother lives in Auckland.
