I i i SENIOR GRADE WON BY CENTRAL A. — ] The Wairarapa Primary Schools' Rugby Union's seventh annual seven-a-side tournament was held al (lie Carterton Showgrounds on Saturday. The greatest number of teams that has ever taken part was recorded and the standard of play in all grades was very high. The referees, who worked very hard, were Messrs E. Grantham, H. Matson. W. Spooner and It. Smith. Teacners from all the schools were responsible for carrying out the numerous essential duties. The results were as follow: — Senior. Central A beat Carterton, 18/0; Featherston beat Solway. 3/0; St. Patrick’s beat Greytown, 8/5; Martinborough beat Central B. 14 0: Central A beat Featherston, 8/0: Martinborough beat St. Patrick's. 9/3. Final: Central A beat Martinborough. 6/0. Junior. Martinborough beat St. Patrick's. 5/1; West beat South Featherston, 6/0; Central A beat Greytown, 16/0; Central B beat West, 3/1; Featherston beat Central A, 6/3; Carterton beat Lansdowne, 6/3; Martinborough beat Central B, 8/0: Featherston beat Carterton. 8/3. Final: Martinborough beat Featherston, 8/5. Third Grade. Central B beat West, B 18/0; Martinborough beat Lansdowne A, 6/3; Central A beat Carterton, 7/0; West A beat St. Patrick's, 3/0; Greytown beat Central C, 6/3: Martinborough beat Cen- ; iral B. 10/4; West beat Central A. 3/0: ] Lansdowne B beat Central D. 3/0; Martinborough beat Greytown; West beat Lansdowne, 3/0.
