“ROYAL CHANCE”
ART UNION DRAWN FIRST PRIZE TO THAMES. WELLINGTON INVESTOR SUCCESSFUL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. First prize in the “Royal Chance” art union, drawn under police supervision in the Masonic Hall, The Terrace, Wellington, last evening, went to Thames, the winning ticket bearing the nom de plume, "We 4." The second prize of £lOOO went to "July.' Wellington. The first prize of £2OOO was (Lc. sixth of the seven major prizes to be drawn. The number which gained second prize was the last of five drawn for that purpose, the first four being the numbers of tickets which had r.ot been sold. The prize list is as follows: — First Prize, £2OOO. 164025, “We 4,” Thames. Second Prize, £lOOO. 67216. "July,” Wellington. Third Prize, £5OO. 143524. "Chance Royal." Waitakcre, Auckland. Fourth Prize. £4OO. 104513. "Lucky Fred." Auckland. Fifth Prize, £3OO. 81094. J.R.R.. New Plymouth. Sixth Prize. £2OO. 92302. “Mum and Dad," Christchurch. Seventh Prize, £lOO. 181837, J- A. Chappell, Killinchy, R.D., Canterbury.
